“Give Cancer the Boot” takes place on April 5 at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, 2301 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale, with Thomas & Pearl, P.A. as one of the proud sponsors.
The spring luncheon will benefit the 1000+ Club and their new initiative, Chad’s Bracket Red Wagon Project. The nonprofit’s goal is to help children in pediatric wards and their parents navigate the hospital halls with donated retrofitted wagons.
“We’re pleased to be a sponsor of this terrific event. The 1000+ Club has awarded more than half a million in grants to cancer-related nonprofits in Broward County,” said Brian S. Pearl, Senior Founding Partner at Thomas & Pearl. “It’s great to support such a worthwhile organization.”
A number of the 2017 recipients will be on-hand at the luncheon to talk about specific programs 1000+ has benefitted; 2017 recipients are: Debbie’s Dream Foundation; Gilda’s Club; Holy Cross Hospital; I Care, I Cure; Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation; Memorial Foundation and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation, as well as the NSU College of Nursing.
